Our collaborative culture brings together passionate food lovers, sustainability champions, and tech innovators who are reshaping the future of food. WHO YOU ARE You take pride in putting in a hard day's work and value being rewarded for it. You value an organization that is doing good by its people, the planet, and building prosperity. If that sounds like you, here are some of the other characteristics our current Team Members share: * Reliable & Dependable — You like to see a job well done and make sure things are done the right way. You show up for every scheduled shift on time and ready to work. * Adaptable — You're comfortable being cross-trained and moving between tasks or departments as production needs change through the week. * Responsible — You're a self-starter who can work independently once you know the task, without needing constant supervision. * Ready to Grow — Fresh Prep is a growing company with real opportunities for advancement. You approach problems from both a practical and an empathetic point of view. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING This is a hands-on, entry-level role on our production floor. Every meal kit that arrives at a customer's door passes through the hands of our Production team — from raw ingredients to a fully packed, route-sorted delivery. Production Associates are trained and scheduled across our production departments based on daily and weekly volume. Depending on the day, your shift, and where you're trained, you may be working in any of the following areas: * Prep — Weighing, portioning, and packing individual ingredients into the components that make up each recipe. * Commissary — Producing sauces, spice blends, and other components made in-house. * Packaging — Assembling portioned ingredients into complete, customized meal kits. * Order Pick — Selecting the items in each customer's customized order and combining them into cooler bags sorted by delivery route. * Materials Cleaning — Washing and sanitizing the coolers, kits, totes, bins, and equipment that keep production running. Across all of these areas, you will: * Work in a temperature-controlled environment maintained between 4–6°C (yes, that's four degrees above freezing) for most of your shift * Work to specific volume targets and delivery windows — this is a just-in-time operation, so the pace is fast and the deadlines are real * Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures at all times, and help maintain a clean, healthy, food-safe facility * Be cross-trained over time into additional departments, which makes you more valuable to the team and opens up more shift options * Take on other duties as assigned WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * Previous experience in food manufacturing, warehousing, or another fast-paced production environment is an asset, but not required — we train * Able to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines * Comfortable working in a cold, temperature-controlled environment for the length of your shift * Able to stand and remain on your feet for the full shift * Able to perform repetitive tasks and repetitive hand and arm motions * Able to lift objects up to 30 lbs (13 kg) * Legally entitled to work in Canada * Willing to be cross-trained and scheduled across multiple production departments WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT * Hourly Wage: $20.23 * Schedule: Saturday to Wednesday, 7am - 3pm (subject to change based on business needs) * Training: Full paid training in, no prior food production experience needed * An inclusive, fun workplace filled with fantastic colleagues. We're a certified B Corporation and our team is passionate about making a positive difference (and also about food!) * Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, and life insurance) after 90 days of successful employment * Food perks! * Real paths to advancement, we regularly promote internally
