Fresh Start Foods is hiring a Full-Time Delivery Driver to join our Ottawa team. As a 5 Tonne Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of food products throughout Ottawa, Ontario and the surrounding areas. This is a permanent position in a fast-paced environment where safety and customer service are paramount. Compensation and Benefits Salary: $21.00 per hour Schedule: Full-Time, permanent, Monday-Saturday (5:30 am - 3:30 pm) with Sunday and a weekday off Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision (after 30 days of continuous service) Additional Perks: RRSP Program, Employee Purchase Program, Profit Sharing, Team-based Work Environment, and Commitment to Safety. Key Responsibilities/What You Will Do Execute scheduled deliveries of fresh produce to Foodservice customers (restaurants, institutions, etc.). Safely operate and maintain a 5 Tonne Truck (Straight Truck) on urban and regional routes. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring transportation and logistics compliance. Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety protocols, including load security and handling procedures. Provide exceptional customer service during drop-offs and collect necessary documentation. Accurately track deliveries and maintain electronic or paper logs as required. Required Qualifications/Skills Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar transportation role is highly preferred. Valid Ontario Driver's License (G or equivalent). Clean commercial vehicle operator's registration (CVOR) and Driver's Abstract (Must be provided). Physical capability to lift and move up to 50 lbs frequently during the loading and delivery process. Flexibility to work the required schedule (Mon-Fri, 5:30 am - 3:30 pm), with availability for occasional Saturdays.
