Job details

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER (COO) Global Business Builder | Revenue | Operations | Strategic Growth Company: Friss India Role: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Reporting To: Founder & Global CEO Work Model: Remote + Hybrid Location: Global — Any Nationality Can Apply Experience: 10+ Years Joining: Immediate Joiners Preferred ABOUT FRISS INDIA Friss India is a fast-paced, lean and execution-driven startup building an integrated ecosystem across AI, FinTech, EdTech, SaaS, eCommerce, business services, franchise models and technology-enabled business infrastructure. We are not building a conventional corporate hierarchy. We are building a high-ownership company where people who create measurable business value grow with the company. Our environment is lean, fast-moving and highly execution-oriented. Every senior leader is expected to think like a business owner, not simply a functional manager. THE ROLE We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer who can build businesses, generate revenue, create strategic relationships and convert opportunities into measurable outcomes. This is not a conventional operations role. We are looking for someone who can walk into a business problem, understand it quickly, find the commercial opportunity, build the solution, execute it and create revenue. You will work directly with the Founder & CEO and will have significant ownership across business operations, revenue generation, strategic partnerships, expansion and execution. Our expectation is simple: Don't just identify the problem. Build the solution. Don't just create plans. Execute them. Don't just discuss revenue. Create it. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR The ideal candidate is a self-starter, independent business builder and strategic operator with a strong history of creating measurable business outcomes. You should be comfortable operating with limited resources, limited hierarchy and incomplete information. You may come from a startup, MNC, consulting, technology, financial services, SaaS, eCommerce, franchise, B2B, enterprise sales or another high-growth environment. What matters most is your proven ability to build and execute. You should be: A Business Builder, not merely an administrator Extremely strong in ownership and accountability A self-starter who requires minimal supervision Comfortable working as a Lone Wolf / Independent Operator A strong problem solver who finds solutions instead of excuses Commercially sharp with strong revenue instincts Extremely well connected with a high-quality business network Comfortable engaging with founders, CXOs, investors, HNIs, enterprise decision-makers and strategic partners A fast learner who can understand new products and business models quickly Highly execution-oriented Comfortable making decisions under uncertainty Capable of turning relationships into legitimate business opportunities Strong at negotiation, partnerships and business development Comfortable building processes from zero Able to operate effectively inside a lean startup Focused on measurable outcomes rather than activity. C-LEVEL BUSINESS NETWORK A strong professional network is highly valuable for this role. You should ideally have meaningful relationships across one or more of the following: *Founders | CEOs | CXOs | Investors | HNIs | Enterprise Buyers | Strategic Partners | Franchise Networks | Technology Leaders | Institutions | Government/Corporate Ecosystems | Global Business Communities * We are interested in the quality, relevance and commercial value of your network, not simply the number of LinkedIn connections you have. DAY-1 BUSINESS MINDSET This position requires a fundamentally different mindset. We expect the COO to start understanding the commercial ecosystem from Day 1. You should be capable of asking: What can we sell? Who needs it? Who can introduce us? What partnership can be created? What revenue opportunity can be converted immediately? What problem can Friss solve better? We value people who can create a path to revenue rather than spending weeks explaining why something cannot be done. Execution > Excuses Solutions > Problems Revenue > Activity Ownership > Job Description KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Business & Revenue Drive revenue growth across Friss India business verticals Identify immediate and long-term commercial opportunities Build new revenue channels Develop enterprise and strategic accounts Build high-value partnerships Convert business relationships into commercial opportunities Develop market-entry and expansion strategies Own commercial execution from opportunity to closure Operations Build scalable operating systems and processes Improve execution speed and accountability Coordinate cross-functional business operations Identify operational bottlenecks and create solutions Establish measurable KPIs and performance systems Build processes without creating unnecessary bureaucracy Strategic Growth Identify new markets, products and business opportunities Evaluate partnerships and strategic alliances Support international expansion Develop new business models Work directly with the Founder & CEO on strategic initiatives Convert strategic vision into executable business plans Leadership Build and lead lean, high-performance teams Set clear ownership across functions Hire strong performers when required Develop leaders within the organization Create a culture of accountability and execution YOUR TRACK RECORD MATTERS Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate specific, measurable outcomes from previous roles. During the selection process, you may be asked: What business did you build? How much revenue did you personally generate? How quickly did you generate it? What was your role in creating that revenue? Which businesses, clients, partnerships or markets did you personally open? What did you build independently? What happened because you were there? We are interested in evidence and outcomes, not inflated titles. WHO WILL THRIVE AT FRISS INDIA You will fit this environment if you: Learn extremely fast Take complete ownership Can work independently Think commercially Move quickly Solve problems creatively Can build from zero Can operate without constant instructions Are comfortable with ambiguity Prefer execution over meetings Want significant responsibility Want your growth to be directly connected to the company's growth This is a lean team. That means greater responsibility, greater visibility and greater opportunity to grow. When the company grows, the people who create that growth should grow with it. THE FRISS INDIA COO MINDSET This position is for someone who wants to build, not simply occupy a C-suite title. You will have the opportunity to work directly with the Founder & CEO, influence strategic decisions, build business verticals, create partnerships, develop markets and participate in the company's growth journey. We move fast. We operate lean. We expect ownership. We value intelligence, speed and execution. And most importantly: We believe senior leadership should create measurable business value. If you have 10+ years of experience, a proven track record, strong business relationships, exceptional ownership and the ability to turn opportunities into revenue, we want to hear from you. If you need someone to tell you what to do, this is not the role. If you can identify what needs to be done, build the solution and execute it — let's talk. Build. Execute. Solve. Grow. Apply with your Track Record — not just your Title.
