Our client has been operating for over 30 years and provides temperature-managed transportation equipment, service, and support across North America. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Coordinator or Dispatcher looking to join a stable organization with a strong, employee-focused culture. The Role The Service Dispatcher/ Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching in-house service technicians and ensuring repairs and service requests are handled efficiently and on schedule. This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment where urgent service requests are common. The successful candidate will be highly organized, customer-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy. Key Responsibilities Manage a high volume of inbound calls for the Service Department. Schedule and coordinate regular and emergency service requests. Dispatch and coordinate in-house service technicians based on repair requirements and priorities. Communicate professionally with customers and provide updates regarding service requests. Prepare work orders, quotes, and service documentation. Assist with parts requests and orders. Maintain accurate and up-to-date statuses for all repairs and service work. Follow up on open jobs to ensure timely completion. Coordinate with the Parts Department to support efficient repair turnaround. Work closely with Sales and other internal teams regarding service scheduling. Prioritize urgent repairs while ensuring work orders and service information remain accurate. Enter and maintain information within ERP and other service-related systems. Perform other duties as required. What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in a service coordination, dispatch, scheduling, or similar role. Dispatching experience is required. Previous experience in a service and repair environment is strongly preferred. Experience within transportation, trucking, logistics, HVAC, automotive/truck repair, heavy equipment, roadside assistance, or a similar industry is an asset. Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities. Highly organized with excellent attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple urgent requests and competing deadlines. Comfortable working under pressure while maintaining accuracy. Strong computer skills, including intermediate Microsoft Office and Excel. Ability to quickly learn and navigate ERP and other software systems. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. High School Diploma or equivalent. Why Apply? Competitive salary of $55,000–$63,000. Permanent, full-time opportunity.
