Description KEY JOB ELEMENTS: Assume project leadership for a significant/complex procurement activities; Interface regularly with Suppliers and team members from other departments; Develop and issue Requests for Proposal; Conduct fact-finding and negotiation of proposal(s) and complete the definitization of Subcontracts inclusive of Terms and Conditions, Statements of Work, Payment Plans, and schedules for development and deliveries; Manage Subcontract(s) with special emphasis on attainment of scheduled milestone activities and overall management of the payment plans including cost control; Establish productive, collaborative relationships with Suppliers; Identify opportunities for and negotiate cost savings; Gather and analyze complex data required for forecasting and reporting; Present status, issues and risk mitigation strategies to Leadership, Suppliers and Customers (as required). Track commodity trends, understand the market and industry, and research/explore new technology and/or capabilities REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: University degree or college diploma in business or supply chain related discipline Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience Proficient in MS Office applications Excellent problem solving and decision making skills Creative and innovative thinker Strong oral and written communication skills Strong negotiating skills and the ability to influence others Ability to travel (15% Cdn) and (15% US/Int’l) and possess / be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous Supply Chain Management experience Technical aptitude Financial aptitude Physical Conditions and Hazards: The conditions in which an individual or staff works, including but not limited to such things as amenities, physical environment, stress and noise levels, degree of safety or danger, temperature, location. Requirements
Requires a university degree or college diploma in business or a supply-chain-related discipline, 3–5 years of relevant experience, Microsoft Office proficiency, and strong problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills. Candidates must be able to travel within Canada and internationally and hold or obtain a valid passport; supply chain, technical, and financial aptitude are preferred.
