What We Require: Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean commercial driver’s abstract Physically fit and able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull and carry heavy items (up to 80 lbs) Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluency Previous professional driving experience is preferred Ability to work in a variety of weather, temperature and road conditions Ability to work independently and in a team environment Must be goal oriented with a positive, “can do” attitude This position requires punctuality and attention to detail Eligibility for bonding and transportation of dangerous goods (TDG) certification Strong mechanical aptitude A high level of integrity and a strong work ethic, able to work with little supervision and be self-directed Professional demeanour under stressful situations High School Diploma or equivalent Availability for statutory holidays and weekends Responsibilities Include: Providing exceptional service to build and maintain quality customer relationships Manually sorting and unloading food products and hand-wheeling them into the customer locations with the use of ramps and occasionally stairs (approx. 600 - 1000 cases/shift) Operating straight trucks or trailers safely and professionally to transport goods and materials over urban, short inter-urban and rural routes Conducting routine pre/post-trip truck inspections and maintaining accurate records of delivery routes, temperature logs, count sheets and incident reporting Performing product delivery verification at the customer location and maintaining customer invoices Following health and safety and safe work procedures We're a company with integrity at its core. Requirements
Candidates must possess a valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean abstract and the physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs repeatedly. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
