Barista - General Help Full time

" How you will make an impact: You will be responsible for preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks and related food and beverage items to customers, as well as perform food preparation, cleaning, catering and retail cashier duties . As a Barista - General Help, you will: * Provide an excellent service quality experience in the cafe * Educate customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu, answering questions * Prepare coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, cafe latte, and cappuccino * Sell coffee and coffee grinding/brewing equipment by explaining differences in coffee beans and coffee preparation machines; demonstrating how brewing equipment operates * Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar * Replenish condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas. * Perform general food service work involving the preparation, proper holding, service of food, and clean up activities * Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs * Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations * Improve quality results, implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar About you: * Excellent customer service skills * Previous work experience as a Barista is an asset * Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team * Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position Hours: 6:30am to 3:00pm Monday to Friday (with every alternate Friday off)"

You will be responsible for preparing and serving coffee and food items while maintaining a clean and safe service environment. Additionally, you will manage inventory, operate equipment, and provide excellent customer service to cafe patrons.

The ideal candidate should have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to follow oral and written instructions. Previous experience as a barista is considered an asset, and physical capability to perform the duties is required.
