Competitive pay: $21.80 - $30.00/hour, based on experience Full-time, year round employment Heated and air-conditioned work environment Employer-paid Medical, Dental, and Life Insurance benefits Paid holidays and wellness programs Company-sponsored social and team-building events Safety boot reimbursement On the job training and skill development Cross-training opportunities across departments Opportunities to take on increased responsibility as your skills grow Opportunities to advance into Trainer, Lead Hand and Supervisor roles A company culture built on teamwork, respect and continuous improvement Your Responsibilities: Electrical Panel Assembly: Build and wire electrical panels for HVAC units, ensuring all components meet design specifications Conduit Installation: Install conduit and pull wires for lighting circuits and motor power circuits, following safety protocols Device Installation: Install disconnects, variable frequency drives (VFDs) and other electrical devices Blueprint Reading: Accurately read and interpret blueprints to guide layout, fabrication and wiring Measurement: Use measuring tools to perform mathematical calculations, including converting fractions to decimals, to ensure precision Tool Use: Operate air and electric hand tools efficiently to complete tasks effectively Physical Labour: Work from heights, lift and carry heavy items and maintain a quick, steady pace throughout the shift Independent Work: Perform tasks independently with minimal supervision to meet production goals Team Collaboration: Work effectively in a team environment with strong verbal communication skills Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and maintain knowledge of ETL and NEC standards What We’re Looking For: Experience Minimum 1 year of electrical experience (preferred) Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience (preferred) Skills & Qualifications Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Ability to read and interpret drawings and measurements Strong attention to detail Ability to perform physically demanding work Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable transportation required Job Details: Job Type: Full-time, Indoor Location: Kingston, ON (On-Site) Starting Wage: $21.80 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience Shift Schedule: Rotating early mornings and afternoon shifts Monday – Friday: 5:45 am – 2:15 pm Monday – Thursday: 2:30 pm – 12:30 am Every other Friday off Weekend shifts not required Occasional overtime available based on production requirements Grow With Us At Haakon, we believe in developing our employees for long-term success.
