Job summary
Harvard Developments has an immediate opening for a Project Coordinator position to join its Development team in Regina. The Project Coordinator is accountable for mobilizing, coordination, contract administration and financial management of a variety of capital project, renovations and leasehold improvements all while maintaining an exceptional customer experience for our tenants within an occupied building, as well as all of our internal stakeholders. Reporting to the Project Manager, this position works collaboratively with all members of the Development and Property Management teams. Harvard is a full-service real estate management company based in Western Canada that is recognized for its reputation in leadership, flexibility, quality, and performance. The company oversees over 9 million square feet of office, retail, and industrial properties throughout Western Canada, with offices in Winnipeg, Regina, Calgary, and Edmonton. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two or more years of project coordination experience in commercial or industrial construction and must carry a clean driver’s abstract with access to a vehicle. Preference will be given to those with accreditation in civil, applied science, or architectural technology or an applicable engineering degree. Certification or progress towards a project management professional (PMP) designation is also considered an asset for this position. What you will bring to the job: 2 to 3 years of project coordination experience in commercial or industrial construction. Ability to design scope of work statements, tenders, and related construction administrative activities. Strong understanding of construction processes and their implementation. A desire to assist others, along with a superior customer service orientation. Availability to work outside regular business hours as required to supervisor projects in progress. A strong command of the English language with good communications skill, both oral and written. Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills that enable positive and beneficial relationships. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities to consistently meet deadlines. The ability to work independently using both personal initiative and sound judgement. Computer literacy in Office 365 environment, as well as use of enterprise job costing systems, construction design, and scheduling software. Preference will be given to individuals in proficient use of AutoCAD. Experience in procuring goods and services; and managing a budget. A working knowledge of workplace safety practices and requirements. Understanding of codes, safety regulations, and best practices on construction and renovation; and Superior organization and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
