HCR Permanent Search is working with a growing manufacturing organization in the Kitchener Waterloo area. They are searching for a senior engineering leader responsible for design, quality, and code compliance for their nuclear manufacturing operations. Work Setting: Onsite Location: Kitchener Waterloo area Work Type: Permanent Compensation: $160,000 - $180,000 Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. P.Eng. designation (Ontario) or eligible for registration. 5+ years leading engineering teams. 12+ years of engineering experience within fabrication, machining, pressure equipment, or heavy manufacturing environments. Direct experience with ASME Section III Strong knowledge of CSA standards, quality systems, and pressure equipment compliance. Experience in highly regulated manufacturing environments. Proven leadership, communication, and team development skills. Preferred Knowledge of CSA N285, CSA N299, and ASME NQA-1 requirements. Experience with pressure vessel design software, ERP systems, and CAD platforms. Responsibilities Lead Engineering, Quality, Design, Project Management, and Estimating teams. Drive engineering standards, quality systems, and regulatory compliance. Provide technical leadership for pressure equipment, custom fabrication, machining, and regulated manufacturing projects. Partner with Operations and Business Development on project execution, customer solutions, and growth initiatives. Oversee audits, certifications, design registrations, and continuous improvement programs. Develop and mentor engineering and quality professionals while building succession plans and future capability. Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, an Ontario P.Eng. designation or eligibility, at least five years leading engineering teams, and 12 or more years of relevant engineering experience. Candidates need direct ASME Section III experience and strong knowledge of CSA standards, quality systems, pressure equipment compliance, and regulated manufacturing; knowledge of CSA N285, CSA N299, and ASME NQA-1 is preferred.
