HCR Permanent Search is working with a leading automotive manufacturing supplier in Mississauga, Ontario. They are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our Manufacturing Engineering activities and launch teams in a high-volume automotive environment. In this role, you will drive process design, oversee new technology integration, and direct continuous improvement to support key operational goals. Work Setting: Onsite Location: Mississauga, ON Work Type: Permanent Shift: Days Compensation: $140,000 - $155,000 Qualifications & Requirements Experience: 8–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in automotive heavy stamping environment. Education: Degree or Diploma in Engineering (or equivalent combination of education and applicable experience). Technical & Standards Knowledge: Proven background in APQP, launch processes, and quality/environmental standards (TS16949, ISO14001, Occupational Health & Safety). Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; analytical mindset with a track record of effective team coaching and conflict resolution. Key Responsibilities Engineering & Launch Leadership: Lead engineering teams through process design, equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning while ensuring compliance with safety and legislative standards. Process & Technology Management: Direct internal/external process change management, manufacturing process documentation, and new technology integration. Team Development: Build, mentor, and empower an effective engineering team; set performance expectations and drive accountability. Operational Performance: Support plant operations with technical expertise to meet APQP requirements, division KPIs, and customer delivery schedules without downtime. Financial & Supplier Control: Manage department budgets, participate in integrator capability reviews, and support price negotiations. Continuous Improvement: Champion cost-reduction initiatives, lean improvements, and quality standards (TS16949 / ISO14001).
