The Opportunity Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a member of the Leadership Team, the Director, People & Culture is responsible for leading the company's people strategy while remaining actively involved in day to day execution. This role leads a small HR team and partners closely with leaders across the business to strengthen culture, improve organizational effectiveness, attract exceptional talent, develop leaders, and build scalable people programs. Key Responsibilities Partner with the CEO and Leadership Team to develop and execute the people strategy aligned with business objectives, serving as a trusted advisor on organizational design, workforce planning, succession, employee relations, performance management, and change management. Shape and strengthen StickerYou's culture across both Canadian and international teams, including engagement initiatives such as company events, celebrations and employee recognition. Own recruitment strategy, manage external search partners, support internal production hiring, and partner with hiring managers throughout the hiring process to uphold hiring quality, strengthen employer branding, and ensure positive candidate experiences. Coach managers through performance improvement and difficult employee situations to support retention of high performers, and lead company wide performance management including semi-annual reviews, talent calibration, goal setting, and goal achievement reviews. Partner with the CEO and CFO on annual salary reviews, compensation planning, payroll administration, benefits, incentive plans, and HR compliance using Rippling, while monitoring departmental headcount, workforce planning, and labour/payroll costs as a percentage of company revenue. Develop talent development and succession planning initiatives to build long-term organizational capability. Continuously evaluate AI, automation, and technology opportunities to improve recruiting, HR operations, analytics, and employee experience. Support international workforce growth and potential expansion into the UK/Europe and other markets. Requirements 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally in entrepreneurial or high growth environments. Experience leading talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, payroll, employee relations, and organizational development. Strong leadership, coaching, communication, analytical, and relationship building skills. Ability to influence senior leaders while remaining hands on. Experience supporting distributed teams; experience in Latin America or Europe is an asset. Experience with HRIS platforms such as Rippling is preferred. Passion for innovation and leveraging AI to improve People practices. Work Arrangement This is a hybrid role at the StickerYou office located in Toronto, ON, with 3 days in office and the rest of the days fully remote.
