Position: Health Care Assistant Location: Nanaimo Compensation: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour Shifts: Mornings, Evenings, Nights & Weekends. Responsibilities Providing compassionate care to clients in their home setting. Assisting with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene Medication management. Preparing meals and ensuring proper nutrition. Assisting with light housekeeping tasks Monitoring and reporting changes in clients' health and well-being Companionship and engaging in meaningful activities with client. Requirements Valid and up-to-date Health Care Assistant license or equivalent A clear criminal background and vulnerable sector check Reliable Transportation to work Valid completion of OFA First Aid Level 1 course Valid competition of FOODSAFE level 1 or equivalent Compassionate, reliable, and patient demeanor Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Assets Previous caregiving experience Valid certifications or training in caregiving, personal support work, or related fields.
