🚀 WE’RE HIRING: Senior Virtualisation & Storage Engineer (Tier 3) 📍 Halifax | Hybrid working – 2 days onsite VMware. Virtualisation. Enterprise Storage. Automation. Ready to take infrastructure to the next level? 👀 We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Virtualisation & Storage Engineer who thrives on complex technical challenges, enjoys getting to the root cause of problems and is always looking for smarter ways to work. This is a genuine Tier 3 engineering opportunity where you’ll do more than keep the lights on. You’ll take ownership of critical infrastructure, improve performance and resilience, and help drive the evolution of virtualisation and storage services through automation, smarter monitoring and AI-driven innovation. 🤖 🔧 What you’ll be doing: Managing and optimising enterprise virtualisation platforms, including VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter. Providing advanced Tier 3 support and resolving complex infrastructure issues. Supporting enterprise storage solutions, including NetApp, Pure Storage and SAN/NAS. Improving infrastructure performance, availability, resilience and capacity. Supporting backup, recovery and disaster recovery solutions, including Veeam. Developing scripts and automation to reduce manual work and improve efficiency. Exploring smarter monitoring and AI-driven infrastructure operations. Sharing expertise, mentoring colleagues and collaborating across technical teams. 💡 What we’re looking for: An experienced infrastructure engineer with strong virtualisation and storage expertise, a proven Tier 3 troubleshooting background and the confidence to take ownership of complex technical challenges. Experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter and enterprise storage is key, while Proxmox would be a significant advantage. Knowledge of Veeam and scripting tools such as PowerShell, PowerCLI, Python or Bash would also be valuable.
