About the Opportunity Our client is a well-established, fast-growing real estate developer based in Vancouver, with a substantial and expanding portfolio of commercial and retail properties across the region. They're looking for an outgoing, self-directed Leasing Manager to join their Commercial Properties team. This person will drive retail leasing activity — from broker relationships and tenant outreach through to deal documentation and market research — and should be comfortable with cold calling and in-person canvassing of prospective retail tenants, as well as direct outreach to commercial brokers. Responsibilities Build and maintain strong working relationships with commercial brokers through regular, proactive communication Cold call, canvass in person, and otherwise directly approach prospective retail tenants to build the leasing pipeline Coordinate and lead property tours for prospective tenants Own the day-to-day leasing pipeline, keeping availability information and deal status current Respond to incoming inquiries from tenants and brokers and manage the follow-up Prepare leasing proposals, letters of intent, deal summaries, and supporting lease documentation Support the creation of leasing brochures, listings, signage, and related marketing materials Keep prospect lists, leasing trackers, and transaction records organized and up to date Research rental rates, competing properties, and prospective tenants to inform leasing strategy Liaise with Legal, Development, Construction, Property Management, and Marketing as deals progress Support a clean handover of completed leasing transactions to the relevant internal teams Requirements Genuine interest in commercial real estate and retail leasing Roughly 4-7 years of commercial real estate leasing experience preferred Comfortable and confident approaching prospective tenants directly, including cold calls and door-to-door outreach Professional demeanor, equally comfortable with tenants, brokers, and internal stakeholders Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office An asset: working knowledge of commercial leasing practices and the ability to read floor plans Valid BC driver's licence What's on Offer Base salary in the $100,000-$120,000 range Genuine internal growth opportunities Transit-accessible office location Comprehensive benefits package, including RRSP matching Partner/corporate discount program At Humans of HR, we support the development and growth of our candidates to reach their full potential. Requirements
