We are currently seeking a Law Clerk and/or Paralegal – Litigation to join our team in a permanent position based in Toronto. In this role, you will work closely with lawyers, legal counsel, and paralegals across the organization to support litigation matters and provide high-quality legal services to internal clients. Your Responsibilities As a Law Clerk and/or Paralegal, you will: Compile, gather, and organize documentation for internal and external counsel in litigation matters; Manage the administrative and document-related aspects of litigation and pre-litigation files; Prepare correspondence, pleadings, legal proceedings, and court documents; Prepare and monitor litigation reports for various committees; Conduct legal and case law research; Prepare books of documents, authorities, and reference materials for counsel and the courts; Assist lawyers with presentations and legal materials; Provide support to various teams within the Legal Department; Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other external stakeholders; and Perform other law clerk and paralegal duties as required. What You Bring Law Clerk or Paralegal diploma/degree from an accredited college or university program, or equivalent experience; Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a litigation or legal environment; Strong knowledge of court rules, procedures, and litigation processes; Excellent verbal and written communication skills and sound professional judgment; Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and legal software tools; Experience using emerging technologies, including AI tools, responsibly in support of legal work; Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines; Collaborative mindset and commitment to delivering excellent client service; Excellent spoken and written English; and French language skills are considered an asset. Requirements
