Clinical Counsellor IDM Youth Services Make a Difference in the Lives of Children, Youth, and Families IDM Youth Services is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and highly skilled Clinical Counsellor to support children, youth, and families experiencing mental health, behavioral, attachment, trauma, developmental, and substance use challenges. Working within a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, strengths-based, and child-centered framework, you will provide direct clinical services while collaborating with families, caregivers, community partners, Indigenous communities, schools, healthcare providers, and Ministry representatives to support positive outcomes and community integration. Key Responsibilities Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment, stabilization, safety, and transition plans. Provide individual, family, and group counselling using evidence-informed therapeutic approaches. Deliver crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, and clinical support during high-risk situations. Support children and youth in building emotional regulation, resilience, communication, coping, and relationship skills. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve treatment goals and strengthen natural supports. Participate in service planning, case conferences, treatment reviews, and discharge planning. Provide clinical consultation, coaching, and therapeutic guidance to frontline staff and program teams. Assist with staff training and promote trauma-informed and relationship-based practices throughout service delivery. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, reports, and treatment records. Build strong relationships with community partners and advocate for the needs of children, youth, and families. Qualifications Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Child and Youth Care, Educational Counselling, or a related human services discipline. Registration and good standing with a recognized professional regulatory body such as: Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) Registered Social Worker (RSW) Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) Or equivalent professional designation Minimum five (5) years' clinical experience working with children, youth, and families experiencing mental health, behavioural, attachment, trauma, and substance use challenges. Experience in residential care, child welfare, youth services, or community mental health is considered an asset. Valid BC Class 5 Driver's Licence. Successful Criminal Record Check. Working Conditions This is a part-time or full-time position serving youth and families across residential and community-based programs. Occasional evening, weekend, on-call, and regional travel requirements may apply. Requirements

Requires a Master's degree in a relevant human services discipline and professional registration such as RCC, RSW, or CCC. Candidates must have at least five years of clinical experience working with children, youth, and families.
