Capital Markets General Ledger Business Systems Analyst (BSA) Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid (2 days onsite per week + every 4th Friday) Contract: 6 months, with strong potential for extension or full-time conversion Industry: Banking & Financial Services Job Overview Our client, a leading multinational financial institution, is seeking an experienced Capital Markets General Ledger Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support a new Capital Markets sub-ledger implementation project. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Capital Markets products, financial accounting, General Ledger (GL) processes and business requirements gathering. We are open to candidates with either a Capital Markets Business Analyst background and accounting knowledge or a Capital Markets Finance/Product Control background with business analysis and project implementation experience. Must-Have Qualifications Strong Business Analysis or Business Systems Analysis experience, preferably within Capital Markets or Financial Services. Solid understanding of Capital Markets products, including repos, bonds, fixed income, equities, derivatives and other securities. Working knowledge of General Ledger, sub-ledger accounting, accruals, journal entries, P&L and financial reporting. Understanding of IFRS 9, including fair value accounting, financial instrument classification and Other Comprehensive Income (OCI). Experience gathering business requirements and preparing or reviewing BRDs. Exposure to financial systems implementations, GL/sub-ledger projects, Finance Transformation or accounting system integrations. Strong stakeholder management, communication and analytical skills. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with Aptitude Fynapse or SAP BFL/SBFL (Banking Business Function Library). Previous Capital Markets sub-ledger or accounting engine implementation experience. Product Control, Investment Accounting or Capital Markets Finance experience. Experience with data mapping, reconciliations, process improvement and UAT. Requirements

Candidates need strong business or systems analysis experience, knowledge of Capital Markets products and General Ledger accounting, and familiarity with IFRS 9. Experience gathering requirements and supporting financial systems, GL, or sub-ledger implementations is required; Aptitude Fynapse, SAP BFL/SBFL, and prior sub-ledger implementation experience are advantageous.
