Job summary
Our client, a growing CPA firm in Northern Ontario, is seeking a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to join its expanding tax practice. This is a remote-first opportunity open to candidates across Ontario, with occasional travel to the firm's Sudbury office. The role is well suited to an experienced Canadian tax professional who enjoys complex private company tax planning and advisory work. The Opportunity You will work closely with the firm's tax leadership and clients on matters including: Corporate reorganizations and restructuring Estate and succession planning Trust and shareholder planning M&A and transaction-related tax matters Tax planning for owner-managed and privately held businesses Reviewing complex tax work prepared by other team members The role is primarily focused on tax planning and advisory, with limited compliance responsibilities and no significant business development requirement. What We're Looking For CPA designation Several years of Canadian tax planning experience Completion of the CPA In-Depth Tax Program or equivalent advanced tax training Strong experience advising private companies and owner-managed businesses Experience with corporate reorganizations, estate planning and related tax matters Strong technical judgment and communication skills Public accounting experience preferred Location & Work Model This is a remote-first role within Ontario. The successful candidate should be comfortable travelling occasionally to the Sudbury office for team meetings and collaboration.
