KEY PERFORMANCE METRICS Timely and accurate processing of assigned payrolls Adherence to all relevant government policy and/or legislation Confidentiality Stakeholder feedback KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Functional Timely and accurate processing of high-volume payrolls for both salaried and hourly employees across Canada in compliance with employment standards legislation and company policies Timely and accurate processing of low-volume salaried and hourly payroll in the US Review and upload automated data interfaces (hours, employee changes etc.) Receive, review and action employee information changes (hires, terminations, increases) Process quarterly and annual bonus payments Prepare ad hoc payroll reports Produce Records of Employment; respond to all government agency inquiries Prepare or support manual journal entries, as required Assist with the preparation of government remittances Liaise with human resources or store management teams on payroll issues Maintain personnel files, including filing and/or digitizing Assist with the year-end process and production and distribution of T4s and W2s Act as an advocate for the customer by placing them at the forefront of all decision-making and design processes Proactively identify and anticipate customer expectations and needs Embrace and seek out technology that creates high tech and high touch solutions for Indigo’s customers Challenge the status quo by consistently identifying areas for improvement, diagnosing issues and working to resolve them People Collaborate with others to drive flexible and iterative solutions, quickly and easily Share technical knowledge with others and actively seek to learn from those more knowledgeable than yourself Help others see the impacts of their efforts and proactively engage other functions to get input Encourage others to freely share their point of view and be open to feedback Cultural Model Indigo’s beliefs and convey a positive image in everything you do Celebrate diversity of thought and have an open mindset Take an active role in fostering a culture of continual learning, taking risks without the fear of making mistakes Embrace, champion and influence change through your team and/or the organization SCOPE Reports to: Manager, Payroll KEY RELATIONSHIPS Internal: Human Resources Consumer Experience Finance Supply Chain External: Government agencies/services UKG Quinyx Qualifications Work Experience / Education / Certifications Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Accounting, Finance or Human Resources 3 years’ experience processing high volume payroll Certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner preferred Experience with UKG payroll platform preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs, specifically MS Excel Experience processing US payroll is considered an asset Competencies / Skills / Attributes Thorough understanding of payroll practices and related provincial and federal legislation Demonstrated problem solving, and crisis management skills Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to adapt to a quickly changing, fast-paced environment Team player Additional Information Indigo uses artificial intelligence (AI) tools to assist with certain aspects of the hiring process, such as screening and assessments. Requirements

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree or college diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources with at least 3 years of experience in high-volume payroll processing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with the UKG payroll platform are highly preferred.
