JOB DESCRIPTION Insight Global is seeking a Modern Applications VCF Architect to support a large public sector client in Ottawa. This individual will join a high-impact modernization initiative focused on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), VMware Kubernetes Service (VKS), and AI-enabled infrastructure platforms. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic technical leader, working closely with business, infrastructure, application, security, and operations teams to design and implement modern VMware-based platforms in secure enterprise environments. This role requires deep expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation, Kubernetes, and modern application architectures, combined with the ability to influence stakeholders and guide technology modernization initiatives. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Active Secret Security Clearance with the Government of Canada. Ability to work on-site in Ottawa. Extensive experience designing and implementing VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments. Multiple recent projects utilizing VMware Kubernetes Service (VKS). Deep understanding of Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud-native application platforms. Experience designing and supporting modern microservices-based applications. Experience working with AI infrastructure solutions. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Proven ability to adapt to evolving VMware technologies and product offerings. NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Previous experience supporting federal government or highly regulated environments. Compensation: $46/hr - $75/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
