Skilled Labourer - Construction

Day to Day • Hours/Schedule: 7:15 AM – 4:00 PM (Monday – Friday; optional weekend work available to make up hours). • Work Environment: Exterior commercial construction site involving building envelope work. • Work Location On-Site: A combination of working off the ground (balconies, terraces) and out of man lifts/aerial platforms (as a passenger/worker, not as the primary lift operator). Responsibilities Working on both commercial and residential new build projects. • Exterior Building Envelope: Assist in hands-on installation of building envelope materials, including exterior membrane, metal furring channels, and Z bars. • Tool Operation: Utilize hand and power tools daily, including measuring tools, drills, and grinders for cutting and modifying metal. • Site Support & General Labour: Perform basic measure-and-cut tasks, material handling, and general hands-on installation work while following instructions from on-site leadership. • Safety & Compliance: Work safely at heights off balconies, terraces in full compliance with site safety standards. Required Skills or Certifications • Mandatory Certification: Active Working at Heights Certification (Must be provided prior to starting on site for safety orientation). • Experience: 1+ years of experience in construction, contracting, general carpentry, or exterior building envelopes (Priority to candidates with more years of experience and commercial construction experience preferred). • Soft Skills: Strong work ethic, reliable punctuality, good attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Nice to Have Skills or Certifications • Additional Certifications (Asset): WHMIS, 4-Step Worker Health and Safety Awareness, First Aid, or any other relevant • commercial construction experience is an asset. Pay Transparency: The expected hour rate for this position falls between $20 to 24/hr Vacancy Status: This Posting is for a current vacant role, and the successful candidate will be hired into an existing open position.
