Job details

The Opportunity Our client, a Canadian-owned independent adjusting firm, is seeking a Property / Multi-Line Claims Adjuster to support continued growth across Manitoba. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced adjuster who enjoys managing claims independently, building strong client relationships, and contributing to business development in a growing market. The position involves handling property and multi-line claims, including commercial general liability (CGL) exposures where experience permits. While technical adjusting expertise is important, our client is equally interested in individuals who bring initiative, strong industry relationships, and a genuine interest in developing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated professional who values flexibility, enjoys working directly with clients, and is attracted to an entrepreneurial environment where earning potential is closely connected to individual performance and business growth. The Employer Our client is an established, Canadian-owned independent adjusting firm with operations across Canada and North America. The organization provides a broad range of claims adjusting services, supporting both everyday claims and catastrophe-related losses across personal and commercial insurance. With an expanding presence in Manitoba, the firm is focused on building long-term client relationships and strengthening its regional capabilities. Adjusters enjoy a high degree of independence, a flexible working environment, and the opportunity to contribute directly to the organization's continued growth. About You You are a motivated property or multi-line adjuster who takes ownership of your work and enjoys developing relationships within the insurance industry. You are comfortable managing claims independently, communicating with clients, and identifying opportunities to grow your business. You bring strong technical adjusting capabilities, particularly in property claims, along with an understanding of commercial exposures. Experience handling CGL claims is highly valued given the needs of the BC market. You may already be working as an independent adjuster or be an insurer-side adjuster looking for an opportunity to transition into a more entrepreneurial environment. Most importantly, you have the drive, confidence, and relationship-building skills to establish yourself in a growing market. Necessary Qualifications Include Minimum 2 years of property or multi-line claims adjusting experience Experience handling personal or commercial property claims Exposure to commercial general liability (CGL) claims considered a strong asset CIP designation or actively working toward completion MB adjuster licensing at Level 1 or higher, or willingness to obtain the appropriate licence Strong understanding of insurance policies, coverage interpretation, damage assessment, and claims settlement practices Established insurance industry relationships and client contacts considered a significant asset Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Ability to manage claims independently and maintain strong client service standards Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable contributing to business development activities Previous independent adjusting experience preferred, although qualified insurer-side adjusters will also be considered What's in It for You Opportunity to join a Canadian-owned independent adjusting firm expanding its presence in Manitoba Flexible, remote working environment with a high degree of autonomy Opportunity to develop client relationships and build a long-term book of business Guaranteed salary during an initial ramp-up period, supporting the transition to a commission-based compensation model Uncapped commission earning potential, with a competitive expense structure designed to reward productivity Reimbursement of eligible travel expenses billed directly to client files Comprehensive employer-paid benefits package Pension plan Competitive vacation arrangements and flexibility Opportunity to handle a variety of property, commercial, and multi-line claims
