Salary range (but not limited to): 40,300 - 49,300 About the role We are looking for a Claims Assistant I to joining our Claims Data Retention team in the Toronto, Ajax, Mississauga or Richmond Hill, ON office. This is a 3-Month Contract position and requires a minimum of 2 days per week working in the office. You will be responsible for providing administrative assistance work to the Claims team and reviewing data and information from a high volume of claims files. What you'll do here: Prepare forms and correspondence to insurance clients, vendors and legal representatives. Manage file storage and retrieval process for closed files. Provide various administrative support such as photocopying, scanning, etc. Open new claims and assign appropriate claims adjusters. Process, coordinate, sort and distribute incoming correspondence. Process payments on claim files. Identify process improvements to management. Greet customers, as required. What you bring to the table: High School or College Diploma including business/administration training preferred. 3 months to 1 year of related work experience in administrative function. Ability to consistently perform at a superior level with respect to both the accuracy and volume of work completed. Effective communications skills with an emphasis on customer service. Strong computer skills or training with standard office applications including strong data entry skills. Proficient in MS Excel No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
