Permanent Job title: Accountant Salary: $65,000- $75,000 annually Role status: Current opening Our client: A large, multi-entity organization based in Vaughan, Ontario, is seeking an Accountant to support its accounting operations and financial reporting. Principal tasks and responsibilities include: Perform full-cycle accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids and general ledger reconciliations. Complete month-end and quarter-end close activities accurately and within established deadlines. Prepare bank and intercompany reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and resolve outstanding items. Support accounting and reporting across multiple entities and currencies. Maintain fixed asset schedules and support lease accounting. Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting issues and maintain accurate financial records. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting and efficiency through technology and automation. Qualifications and pre-requisites: Post-secondary education in accounting, finance or a related discipline. Approximately four to five years of relevant accounting experience, with strong Canadian or North American exposure. Hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting and independent ownership of month-end close responsibilities. Experience in a mid-size or large organization with multi-entity and intercompany accounting. Strong reconciliation, analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with Oracle Fusion or another enterprise cloud ERP; Oracle Fusion is preferred. Strong Excel skills and confidence learning new systems. Experience with process improvement, automation or practical AI applications is an asset. CPA designation or progress toward completion is preferred. Clear communication skills, attention to detail and a collaborative approach. Additional information or perks: Onsite opportunity in Vaughan, Ontario. Requirements

Requires post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related discipline and approximately four to five years of relevant accounting experience, including independent month-end close ownership and multi-entity accounting. Candidates should have strong reconciliation and analytical skills, Excel proficiency, and experience with Oracle Fusion or another enterprise cloud ERP; a CPA designation or progress toward completion is preferred.
