The Data Governance Lead is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and controls. Ensure data quality, integrity, security, compliance, and effective data lifecycle management across the organization. Collaborate with business stakeholders, data owners, IT teams, and leadership to promote data-driven decision-making and regulatory compliance. Governance Framework: Develop and implement enterprise data governance strategies, policies, and standards. Establish data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models. Define and maintain data governance operating models and processes. Data Quality Management: Implement data quality frameworks, metrics, and monitoring processes. Identify and resolve data quality issues across systems. Drive continuous improvement initiatives for data accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Data Catalog & Metadata Management: Manage enterprise data catalog and metadata repositories. Ensure proper classification, documentation, and lineage of critical data assets. Promote data discoverability and usability across business functions. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, SOX, HIPAA, or industry-specific regulations. Collaborate with Security and Compliance teams to establish data protection controls. Conduct governance audits and risk assessments. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business units to define critical data elements and governance requirements. Facilitate Data Governance Council meetings and steering committees. Train and educate stakeholders on governance practices and policies. Reporting & Monitoring: Develop governance KPIs, dashboards, and scorecards. Track governance maturity and compliance metrics. Provide periodic updates to senior leadership. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Business Analytics, or related field. 8+ years of experience in Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, or related disciplines. 3+ years of experience leading governance initiatives. Strong understanding of data management frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK. Experience with Data Governance and Data Catalog tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Microsoft Purview, etc. Knowledge of data warehousing, Master Data Management (MDM), and metadata management. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in a relevant field. CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) certification. Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. Experience in Agile project delivery environments. Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least eight years of experience in data management or related disciplines, and at least three years leading governance initiatives. Candidates should understand DAMA-DMBOK and data management practices, have experience with governance or catalog tools, and demonstrate strong stakeholder communication skills; a relevant master's degree, CDMP certification, cloud experience, and Agile experience are preferred.
