Network Technician Location : Calgary Industry: Oil & Gas Industry Customer Solutions provides the best-in-class customer service and IT solutions which enable our business customers to win in the markets they compete in. This includes interfacing with local and global IT service partners and CX regional teams (Americas, EAME, AP) to support the effective delivery of technical solutions, process improvements and seamless support required to power our businesses. Experiencing a breadth of opportunities and skills (infrastructure, applications, business analysis and process engineering), working closely with business customers (Upstream, Downstream, Chemical and Corporate) to understand their needs and aimed at delivering increased business value through innovation and advanced technology while sustaining reliability, security and controls, and cost effectiveness. Principal Technologist is a known SME with deep technical knowledge expertise in the delivery of technical solutions, process re-engineering, and seamless support, and is in sync with or ahead of the technology curve (digital literacy). This role has an in-depth knowledge in more than one focus area and regularly mentors and works to develop the abilities of others. Tasks & Responsibilities Develop Customer relationships (communications, affiliate services, JV interface) Provide Customer front end support (laptop/tablet, mobility, ITSC, printing, AV, VR) Provide back-end Infrastructure support (data and voice network, server, storage, facilities) Productivity solutions and consulting User Education and Training Differentiated / new services (Fuel Terminal systems, Business Lab systems, Process Control Interfaces, radio, microwave, industrial mobility, ARVR, wearables, industrial wireless etc. Project integration and execution Incident, problem and change management Vendor and procurement management Service integration (global/regional initiatives) Area services (PtP , BCP, DR, ESG, RRT, legal, S&C, Data Privacy) Stay in sync with/ahead of technology curve (digital literacy)

What you’ll do

The role involves providing front-end and back-end infrastructure support, including data, voice, and server networks. It also focuses on delivering technical solutions, process improvements, and mentoring others to increase business value.

Requirements

The candidate must be a Subject Matter Expert with deep technical knowledge in infrastructure and process re-engineering. They should possess digital literacy and the ability to manage vendors and project integrations within the Oil & Gas industry.
