Position Summary... The Communications Specialist supports the development, delivery, and measurement of communications aligned with the Walmart Marketplace Canada communications strategy. Working within the Seller Experience team, this role partners with cross-functional stakeholders to create, manage, and optimize content across multiple communication channels. Responsibilities include content development, communication planning and execution, performance reporting, project coordination, and support for events and educational initiatives. What you'll do... The Communications Specialist is responsible for creating, managing, and distributing communication materials across a variety of channels, including email, newsletters, digital platforms, social media, in-app messaging, educational resources, and video content. The role supports the delivery of clear, engaging, and audience-focused communications that inform, educate, and drive engagement with Walmart Marketplace Canada programs and initiatives. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this role develops and maintains content for internal and external communication platforms, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand standards. Responsibilities may also include creating communication assets such as written content, graphics, posters, presentations, and digital materials. A key responsibility of the role is monitoring and measuring communication effectiveness. This includes tracking channel performance metrics, analyzing engagement data, and producing regular reports with insights and recommendations to continuously improve communication programs and channels.

The Communications Specialist also contributes to the planning and execution of webinars, events, and educational initiatives that support engagement and knowledge sharing. This includes coordinating content, communications, logistics, and stakeholder requirements to ensure successful delivery.

Additionally, the role supports communication projects through effective project management, stakeholder coordination, and collaboration across teams. Regular reviews of communication channels, content, and programs help ensure activities meet business objectives and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Flexibility, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential for success in this role.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field. 2–4 years of experience in communications, content creation, marketing, or a related discipline. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clear, engaging content for diverse audiences. Experience managing content across multiple communication channels, including digital, social, email, and content management platforms. Strong project management, organizational, and stakeholder management skills. Experience measuring communication effectiveness and reporting on performance metrics. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with communication, content management, analytics, or design platforms. Experience supporting events, webinars, or engagement initiatives. Experience with multilingual communications and translation coordination. Background in retail, eCommerce, marketplace, or customer-facing environments considered an asset. The pay range for this position is $58,200.00 - $79,970.00. Pay will be determined based on relevant experience. ‎ L’échelle salariale pour ce poste est de 58,200.00 à 79,970.00.
