Position: Pilot Truck Driver

Type: Full-time

Location: Bonnyville

Pay: Commensurate with experience

Duties and Responsibilities

• Will be required to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Will be required to be away from home for extended periods of time
• Assist with operators’ tasks on jobs sites.
• Ensuring the safe movement of over dimensional loads
• Ensuring you have the proper permission from the various road authorities concerned before removing of adjusting bridge railing or modifying or tampering with traffic control devices or roadway structures.
• Maintain an adequate distance in front of or behind the unit carrying the load in order to warn approaching vehicles of the over dimensional load.
• Be in constant communication by two-way radio with the over dimensional load driver and other pilot drivers.
• To make the traveling public aware of the presence of an over dimensional load and to direct and control traffic when necessary

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 license – cannot be a GDL license
• Clean Driver’s Abstract
• High School Diploma or GED
• One year experience in yard operations
• Must be willing to work away from home for periods of time, including night shifts and overnight shifts
• Pilot Truck Certification course
