metaHR is hiring on behalf of The Geneva Centre for Autism.
The Company: The Geneva Centre for Autism Centre Board is seeking professionals who are looking to make a difference to join its Board of Directors.
Role: Board member Vacancy: 2 positions available 1- Financial Board member with a CPA/CA 2- Human Resources Board member Status: Volunteer Term: 2-year renewable term Start date: Ideally September 2026
Our Organization: The Geneva Centre for Autism (GCA) is a not-for-profit registered charitable organization located in Toronto that provides services to children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and to their families, to enable them to fully participate in their community.
We aim to: build capacity and skills of individuals, families, community agencies and professionals to support individuals with ASD in realizing their full potential; lead in high quality autism education, training, support and program grounded in excellence; raise awareness and understanding of ASD and promote the right of all individuals with ASD to be treated with dignity and respect.
With over 30 years of experience, Geneva Centre for Autism is an international leader with local community roots, committed to the development and delivery of modern clinical intervention programs and professional training.

We are looking for action-oriented people who specifically have either a financial background (CPA would be an asset) OR a Human Resources background.
Qualifications and Experience: As a leader, you seek to volunteer with an organization that is committed to supporting and enhancing the lives of people with ASD and their families. You also have an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy the challenge of moving an organization forward. You are comfortable and have experience in: not-for-profit management strategic planning; entrepreneurship; communications; lived experience with the ASD community would be an asset
Expectations: Directors are expected to commit the necessary time to attend board and/or committee meetings, an Annual General Meeting and other special meetings and participate in a board committee. Meetings take place in the downtown/midtown area of Toronto or online. Meetings and preparation time is about 6 to 8 hours a month. Directors are expected to review all board materials distributed in advance of meetings. Directors are also expected to include our Foundation in their annual charitable contributions.
