SUMMARY
The HSE Administrator/Junior HSE Advisor will be responsible for coordinating, preparing, and supporting the HSE function. Advisors act as a front-line resource to help execute the organization's health, safety, and environmental management system intended to protect the organization's employees, the environment, and property against harm or damage.
**Location:**Acheson, AB
Position: Full time, permanent
JOB DUTIES
- Assist with HSE project planning OHA, SSSP, and JSA development,
- Assist with site access coordination for field employees as needed,
- Assist with subcontractor prequalification,
- Data entry support for HSE (Intelex, Site Docs, etc.),
- Ensure employee file and documentation systems are maintained,
- Assist with arranging and booking training (internal and external),
- Conduct inspections, focus audits and hazard/risk assessments,
- Act as support for Joint Health & Safety Committees,
- Maintain office/facility bulletin boards,
- Maintain organized filing system (hard copy and electronic),
- Various meeting agenda and minute preparation,
- Attend meetings as required,
- Compile and submit expenses,
- Communicate with management to ensure that corrective action plans are developed and implemented in a timely manner,
- Work under the direction of HSE leadership on multiple tasks requiring judgment to resolve problems,
- Various other duties as requested by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 – 3 years of previous administration, HSE administration experience preferred
- HSA/NCSO designation or OH&S certificate would be considered an asset
- Standard First Aid
- CSTS/CSO Ticket
SKILLS
- Knowledge in OH&S legislation, safety management systems, and operational hazards & controls within an industrial setting would be considered an asset
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Able to interact with varying groups of people
- Detail-orientated
- Advanced computer skills with proficiency in use of MS Office products
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to represent the company in a professional and courteous manner
- Organized and self-motivated
