Anil Verma Associates (AVA), Inc. was founded in 1985. It offers clients a complete range of Architectural-Engineering services from development of initial project concepts and budgets to engineering, construction management, and turnover of completed facilities. We have offices in Los Angeles, CA (since 1985), Oakland/San Francisco, CA (Since 1990), New York, NY (since 1990), with project offices in Seattle, WA (since 1999), and Honolulu, HI (since 2012).

AVA has designed and managed the construction of many large transportation and civil projects in the United States and internationally. Foremost is our Transit expertise that is demonstrated in our portfolio of major transit systems. AVA project values, in both the public and private sectors, have ranged from several millions to billions of dollars in construction costs. We have worked, from inception to completion, in traditional client/consultant relationships, and have adapted to diverse project parameters, whether it is for design-bid-build, design-build, or fast track turnkey forms/P3 of contract.

Thirty-nine (39) years of Rail Transit Facilities and Corridor Development experience nationally and overseas. Several Principals have spent their entire careers in the transit industry. AVA specializes in the design of transit stations, especially underground stations where our team has a thorough knowledge of the transit design criteria, mechanical, electrical and communications equipment, fire-life safety requirements, and systems interface issues.

AVA has designed public and ancillary equipment spaces of several subway stations and our team experience of underground tunnel and cut-and-cover construction has helped resolve some extremely complex coordination issues related to equipment, systems interface, ancillary spaces and construction sequencing. With this knowledge base, AVA has often reduced the size of the cut- -and-cover footprints of stations, and thereby reduced station construction costs.
