Planner, Engineer or Scientist
Are you a detail-driven technical planner with a background in Engineering or the Sciences who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment?
Do you enjoy turning data, demand, and strategy into efficient production plans?
Oerlikon Metco (Canada) Inc. is looking for a Production Planner to join our Fort Saskatchewan team and play a critical role in delivering excellence across our operations.
What You’ll Do
As a Production Planner, you’ll be at the heart of our operations—connecting demand, production, and performance:
Develop and manage production plans to meet quality, delivery, and cost targets Translate customer and market demand into efficient production schedules Partner with operations, sales, and logistics teams to ensure alignment Follow products through the production process, ensuring quality and yields are maintained and improved Monitor production performance and proactively identify risks, gaps, and improvements Maintain accurate data in systems like SAP and LIMS Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, process optimization) Troubleshoot production challenges and drive corrective actions
What You Bring
Degree or diploma in Engineering, the Sciences, or a related field 2+ years in a manufacturing or industrial environment Experience with SAP (MM/PP) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and adapt in a dynamic environment
