About the role
Job Summary Provide installation, maintenance, and repair services for residential and commercial appliances. Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and advise customers to ensure safe, reliable operation. Number of Positions 1 Main Duties Inspect appliances to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic tools and testing equipment. Perform repairs, replace parts, and adjust components to restore appliance function and meet manufacturer specifications. Install new appliances, complete setup and calibration, and verify proper operation after installation. Carry out preventive maintenance, safety checks, and routine servicing to extend equipment life and reduce breakdowns. Maintain accurate service records, parts inventory logs, and job documentation for billing and warranty purposes. Communicate repair plans, cost estimates, and maintenance recommendations to customers in a clear and professional manner. Requirements Secondary school diploma or equivalent education. Completion of relevant technical training, trade program, or equivalent on-the-job experience in appliance repair. At least one year of practical experience servicing residential or commercial appliances or related equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service schematics. Physical ability to lift and carry equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and reaching. Strong communication skills and legal authorization to work in Canada. Required Skills Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical systems. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and appliance diagnostic equipment. Basic electrical knowledge including wiring, circuitry, and component testing. Customer service and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and explaining repairs. Time management and ability to prioritize multiple service calls and tasks. Attention to detail and commitment to health and safety procedures.
