You have a passion for sheet metal trades and want to contribute to daily project activities by installing HVAC solutions to the proper standards aboard ships. We want to meet you! Who are we? Bronswerk Marine, a global leader of complete marine heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC-R) systems providing turnkey solutions for commercial and military vessels through its 12 offices worldwide. Reporting to the Installation Manager, the Apprentice and Journeyperson Installers will work in collaboration with the Vacouver installation team: Installing HVAC Ducting and Equipment Report to the Lead Installation for assignments; Assess job site and set up equipment prior to commencing work; Follow safety protocol and comply with safety and occupational standards; Read and interpret installation diagrams; Install ducting & equipment as per diagrams and direction from the Supervisor; Carry out HVAC installation, which includes ducting, fasteners on hangers and ducts, and insulation; Anchor and hook-up HVAC machinery such as air handling units, fans, chillers, ventilation equipment, etc; Assist in verifying that HVAC installation is functioning.
Administration
Notify the foreman immediately if the client requests BRONSWERK or any of its subcontractors to perform any work that may be considered outside the scope of work. Respect company policies; Respect the SMW 280 collective agreement All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and a Canadian Government Security clearance. Working Conditions Salary: $36.40-$52.00 per hour Fast-paced environment Physically demanding Attention to detail; good eye-hand coordination Frequent bending, crouching and kneeling Confined or restricted areas Noisy Which candidate profile are we looking for?
Journeypersons
Holds a valid Red Seal accreditation 5 years relevant experience in HVAC installation Marine sheet metal experience is an asset Good work quality and ability to work steadily to meet project timelines Good physical dexterity to work in tight or awkward locations Ability to meet security clearance requirements (e.g. no criminal record) Apprentices: 3rd or 4th year apprentices Completed pre-apprenticeship course or equivalent experience Able to interpret drawings Able to measure accurately (imperial and metric) Good work quality and ability to work steadily to meet project timelines Good physical dexterity to work in tight or awkward locations Ability to meet security clearance requirements (e.g. no criminal record) Why work for Bronswerk Group?
