EIPS is recruiting a full-time (1.0 FTE) Literacy & Numeracy Intervention Teacher with Support for Students, based out of the eastern edge of EIPS, including Vegreville, Lamont, Mundare, and Bruderheim (potentially supporting other EIPS school locations). Mileage will be compensated.

SFS is looking for Literacy & Numeracy Intervention teacher to work with at-risk students in multiple EIPS schools. The teacher will work directly with students, providing pull-out literacy & numeracy intervention support for students in grades 1 to 4 and possibly Grade 7. The teacher will work with consultants in co-planning as well as the development and delivery of lessons.
Qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge of literacy best practices in Division 1
- Participation in Early Literacy Initiative Level 1 and Level 2 is an asset
- Bachelor of Education degree
- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Effective organization and time management skills
- Knowledge of strong instructional strategies and differentiation
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice
- Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals
- Experience or familiarity with SharePoint and various technologies, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Teams
- An understanding of the Alberta Provincial Resource Review Guide
- Knowledge and understanding of the use of artificial intelligence platforms
- A commitment to Teaching Quality Standard 5 – Applying Foundational Knowledge about First Nations, Métis and Inuit
