Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst with strong expertise in Banking and , Capital Markets data, and hands‑on experience in SQL Server and Azure Cloud. The ideal candidate will bring deep data analysis capabilities, strong business systems analysis skills, and the ability to work closely with technology and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze, interpret, and validate banking and Capital Markets datasets to support risk, regulatory, and business reporting needs. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and translate requirements into functional and technical specifications. Perform detailed data analysis, data profiling, and root‑cause investigation for data quality issues. Work with technology teams to design and support data integration, transformation, and reporting solutions. Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and data validation scripts to support analysis and solution delivery. Support cloud‑based data initiatives leveraging Azure services such as Data Factory, Synapse, and Azure SQL. Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment between business needs and technical implementation. Contribute to continuous improvement of data processes, standards, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role. Strong knowledge of banking and Capital Markets product data Proven experience in data analysis and business systems analysis within financial services. Proficiency in SQL Server for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Experience working with Azure Cloud (ADF, Synapse, Data Lake, Azure SQL). Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills. Ability to communicate complex data concepts to both business and technical audiences. Experience working in large enterprise or financial institutions is an asset.
Nice to Have
Exposure to risk management frameworks or regulatory reporting (Basel, OSFI). Experience with data governance, metadata, or data quality tools. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and user story creation.

The expected compensation for this role ranges from CAD 77000 to CAD 120000 .
