About the role
Full Stack Developer
Location: Guelph, ON (Fully Remote)
Reports To: Director, Engineering Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join our growing technology team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web and mobile applications while collaborating with internal stakeholders and clients to deliver high-quality software solutions. The successful candidate will have strong expertise in the Microsoft technology stack, modern front-end frameworks, cloud technologies, and software development best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Software Development & Architecture
Design and develop scalable web and mobile applications using the Microsoft .NET framework. Collaborate with technical team members to define application architecture and implementation strategies. Research technical requirements and recommend effective development solutions. Develop custom web applications using .NET, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ReactJS. Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into responsive, functional user interfaces. Build and maintain custom ReactJS components, widgets, and modules. Integrate front-end and back-end systems to deliver seamless application functionality. Develop and maintain secure APIs and backend services to support application performance.
Cloud & Database Development
Develop and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases using T-SQL. Create and maintain SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) solutions. Design, develop, and consume web services using REST, SOAP, and WCF. Utilize Azure cloud technologies to develop, deploy, and maintain applications. Support CI/CD pipelines and source control using Git and Azure DevOps.
Application Support & Maintenance
Provide operational support for production environments, including ASP.NET applications and Microsoft SQL Server. Troubleshoot application issues and implement timely resolutions. Ensure applications meet security, performance, and data protection standards. Maintain documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Experience
Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience using
.NET Framework / .NET C# JavaScript ReactJS JSON AJAX HTML & CSS Proven experience developing and consuming web services (REST, SOAP, WCF). Strong experience designing and implementing software solutions that address complex business requirements. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and relational database design. Experience with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred). Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies. Experience supporting production ASP.NET applications. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Eligibility to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS cloud services. Experience within Financial Services, Banking, or Insurance industries. Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Strong understanding of secure application development and modern software development best practices.
