COMMENCING: Duties will commence on July 2, 2026 until July 24, 2026

POSITION DESCRIPTION / Roles & Responsibilities:

This posting is directed to Professional Staff in the Louis Riel School Division interested in applying for the Summer Learning

Academy Principalship.

The role of Principal at the Summer Learning Academy includes:

• Providing leadership and direction with the school team and the community;
• Setting and promoting positive expectations among students;
• Involvement in teacher supervision;
• Providing strong education leadership and performing all management functions;
• Addressing special issues that arise;
• Program development;
• Consulting with high schools and reporting marks to home schools
• Support the strategic actions of Louis Riel School Division’s Multi-Year Strategic Plan.

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Administrative experience preferred.

• Knowledge of the high school credit system and graduation requirements.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Permanent Manitoba Teaching Certificate.

• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search.

• Clear report from the Child Abuse Registry.

• Respect In School or Commit To Kids certification.

• Review and comply with divisional policies and guidelines.
