Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join a well-established branded hotel in Huntsville, Ontario. Working closely with the General Manager, this hands-on leader will oversee key areas of the operation, including guest services, front office, housekeeping, and breakfast operations. The ideal candidate is a passionate hospitality professional who brings strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to operational excellence. This individual will be highly visible throughout the property, supporting the team, engaging with guests, and ensuring consistent execution across departments. This is an excellent opportunity for a hotel leader looking to broaden their operational experience and take on increased responsibility within a seasonal Muskoka hotel environment. Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000 Short-term accommodation can be provided for candidates relocating to the Huntsville area. Description Oversee daily hotel operations across guest services, front office, housekeeping, and breakfast. Work closely with the General Manager to maintain strong operational, service, and brand standards. Lead, support, and hold team members accountable for performance and consistent execution. Manage departmental scheduling, staffing levels, and productivity based on seasonal business demands. Maintain housekeeping quality through effective inspections, follow-up, and attention to detail. Oversee operational inventory, including linens and departmental supplies. Monitor guest satisfaction and respond effectively to concerns and service recovery opportunities. Maintain a visible presence throughout the hotel and engage with guests to ensure a positive and memorable experience. Ensure operational tasks are completed accurately and consistently, with strong follow-through. Support seasonal staffing requirements and adjust operational priorities based on occupancy and business levels. Work hands-on alongside the team when required, particularly during lower-volume periods. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and the overall guest experience. Requirements Previous leadership experience within hotel operations. Experience with a recognized hotel brand such as IHG, Marriott, Hilton, or a comparable organization is preferred. Strong experience in front office, guest services, housekeeping, rooms operations, or a combination of these areas. Previous resort, seasonal, or rural hotel experience is considered an asset. Demonstrated ability to lead employees, establish clear expectations, and create accountability. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and follow-through. A hands-on leadership style with the flexibility to support different areas of the hotel as required. Confident, professional, and engaging guest-facing presence. Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment when managing guest concerns and service recovery. Commercial awareness with an understanding of labour productivity, inventory, and cost-conscious decision-making. Positive, reliable, and passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality.
