Working across businesses, projects, and partnerships, you'll help strengthen workforce capacity, support employee development, and help create workplaces where people feel respected, supported, and ready to do their best work. ______________________________________________ Title: Construction Workforce & Cultural Safety Manager Department: Lil'wat Construction Enterprises Status: Full-Time Reporting to: General Manager Summary of Duties: The Construction Workforce & Cultural Safety Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, deploying, and developing the workforce required to support the activities of Líl’wat Development Services, Líl’wat Construction Enterprises, property management operations, and associated joint venture activities. This role maintains visibility of workforce capacity, availability, qualifications, certifications, and readiness, ensuring workers are effectively assigned to current work and positioned to support future opportunities. The role works closely with managers, supervisors, contractors, joint venture partners, and community organizations to ensure workforce resources are aligned with operational requirements. The Construction Workforce & Cultural Safety Manager supports workforce participation and development while promoting culturally safe, respectful, and productive workplaces consistent with Líl’wat values and expectations. Key Deliverables and Expectations: Maintains visibility of workforce capacity, availability, certifications, qualifications, and workforce readiness. Coordinates deployment of workers across construction, development, property management, and partnership activities. Ensures employees are assigned appropriately based on skills, experience, certifications, project requirements, and availability. Maintains awareness of current and upcoming projects, opportunities, schedules, and labour requirements. Works with managers and supervisors to identify workforce requirements and resource needs. Develops workforce plans to support current and future operational requirements. Identifies workforce shortages, certification requirements, training needs, and succession risks. Ensures employees possess the certifications, training, and qualifications required to perform assigned work. Coordinates apprenticeship, training, mentorship, and workforce development opportunities. Supports employee growth and progression into increasingly skilled and responsible positions. Maintains relationships with contractors, subcontractors, joint venture partners, training providers, Státimc organizations, and community partners. Supports employment, training, and workforce development pathways through collaboration with partner organizations. Promotes culturally safe, respectful, and productive workplaces. Assists in identifying and resolving workplace concerns and cultural misunderstandings before they escalate. Supports effective participation of workers across internal operations, partner organizations, and joint venture activities. Tracks workforce participation, certifications, training activities, and workforce development outcomes. Provides workforce planning and workforce capacity information to leadership. Assists in the development of policies and programs related to workforce planning, workforce development, and cultural safety. Supervises assigned employees, trainees, apprentices, and workforce support positions. Performs other duties as requested. Experience and Attributes: Five to ten (5-10) years of experience in construction operations, workforce planning, workforce coordination, Indigenous employment initiatives, community development, or related fields. Strong understanding of construction workforce requirements and project environments. Experience coordinating labour deployment, workforce planning, scheduling, or workforce development activities. Experience working across multiple projects, crews, or operational environments. Knowledge of Státimc communities, organizations, and employment opportunities is an asset. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing workforce demands and changing priorities. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Ability to build productive relationships with employees, managers, contractors, community members, and partner organizations. Strong communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Ability to work independently and as an integral member of various teams. Highly professional in all aspects of business, presentation, and interaction with clients, Members, partners, and employees. Motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours and travel as required for the position. Class 5 Driver's license an asset

Requirements
