Salary Range: $80,000 – $95,000 base salary + performance bonus COMPANY PROFILE Our client is an established Canadian affiliate of a global leader in lubricants, with nearly two decades of operations in the Canadian market. The company manufactures and distributes a broad portfolio of lubricant products serving industrial distributors and large end users across Canada. Its customers operate in a wide range of industries, including energy, manufacturing, food processing, chemicals, automotive, steel, and construction materials. As part of its continued growth in Ontario, the company is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to join its commercial team and contribute to the development of its industrial customer base. JOB SUMMARY In this technically driven and highly competitive market, the successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening existing customer partnerships, developing new business opportunities, and driving profitable sales growth across Ontario. The role combines relationship management, business development, and technical sales support to deliver value to customers and achieve commercial objectives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage, retain, and grow a portfolio of industrial customers and prospects across Ontario, ranging from SMEs to major Key Accounts. Develop new business through targeted prospecting, while maximizing sales, margins, and market penetration in line with commercial objectives. Build strong, long-term customer relationships and identify opportunities to expand business within existing accounts. Promote value-added technical services, including oil analysis, lubricant condition monitoring, training, and customer audits. Provide technical and commercial expertise by assessing customer needs, recommending solutions, and collaborating with management and technical teams. Prepare technical-commercial proposals and support contract negotiations, reviews, and the resolution of customer issues when required. Collaborate with Technical Sales Managers, Customer Service, and other internal teams to ensure effective account management and a seamless customer experience. Maintain accurate CRM information and monitor sales activities, opportunities, customer visits, and follow-ups. Analyze market and sales performance, keeping informed of competitive activity, pricing, products, and industry trends to identify opportunities and support commercial strategy. Support new product launches and continuous improvement initiatives while contributing to receivables follow-up and compliance with QHSE policies and procedures. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably within an industrial, technical, manufacturing, or related environment. Strong commercial judgment combined with effective negotiation and influencing skills. Excellent planning, organization, and attention to detail. Self-directed, accountable, and strongly focused on achieving results. Energetic and adaptable, with the ability to establish credibility and strong relationships across different levels of an organization. Strong analytical skills and a practical, solution-oriented approach to problem solving. Team-oriented and entrepreneurial, with the initiative to identify and act on new opportunities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM-based sales tools. Demonstrated ability to navigate longer, complex B2B sales cycles and convert relationships into sustainable, profitable partnerships.
