About The Opportunity LRO Staffing is partnering with a well-established national not-for-profit organization to recruit a Bilingual Membership Specialist for a full-time, permanent opportunity in Ottawa. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer service-focused and highly organized professional to join a respected organization and play a key role in supporting its membership community. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for members, supporting membership growth, engagement, retention and renewals while maintaining accurate membership data and delivering exceptional customer service. Duties include but are not limited to: Serve as the primary contact for members, responding to inquiries, providing information, resolving issues and following up as required Develop and implement initiatives to support membership growth, engagement, retention and renewal Represent and promote the organization to prospective members and build strong, long-term member relationships Coordinate annual membership renewal and new membership campaigns, including liaison with external call centre partners Manage the membership database, including data entry, imports, exports, data cleanup and ongoing maintenance Monitor and analyze membership data and prepare reports on key performance indicators for leadership Follow up with members and assess participation and engagement to better understand evolving needs Provide staff support to the Membership Committee of the Board and contribute to member engagement strategies Collaborate with the Communications team on member communications and engagement initiatives Plan and coordinate member recognition activities and events Oversee publication subscriptions, orders, reporting and related external partner communications Participate in special projects and other initiatives as required About You The successful candidate will have the following: College Diploma or University Degree Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, ideally within a membership association, not-for-profit or similar member-focused environment Bilingualism in English and French, both written and verbal, is mandatory Strong membership, customer service and relationship-building skills Demonstrated experience working with membership databases; iMIS experience is an asset Strong data entry, reporting and analytical skills, with advanced Excel capabilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong writing and editing abilities Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure and meet deadlines Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions and resolve issues independently Highly organized, detail-oriented and committed to accuracy Proactive, reliable and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities with minimal supervision Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide range of individuals Ability to learn new technology and software quickly Previous experience in a membership association, or experience in marketing and/or sales, is an asset Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel Ability to travel occasionally for tradeshows, conventions, conferences or other organizational events About the Job Location: Ottawa, ON Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 2 days per week in office, with flexibility to work from home the remainder of the week Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility within normal business hours Salary: $55,000 to $65,000 annually Benefits: Three weeks' vacation, RRSP program, free parking, equipment provided, and a flexible hybrid work arrangement How To Apply Please apply by clicking the “Apply Now” button below and follow the instructions to submit your résumé.
