About The Opportunity Our client is an established General Contractor with more than three decades of ICI construction experience across Southern Ontario, with a project list that runs from complex renovations to ground-up new builds in the $10M–$100M range. They’ve just been awarded a new slate of transit-sector work, and they need a Site Superintendent ready to take ownership of that portfolio from day one. This is active recruitment for projects already on the books, not a role waiting on a maybe. This firm isn’t slowing down. It’s an established, busy operation that keeps getting busier, backed by a leadership group built specifically to navigate the complexity of major project execution. It has a long track record delivering notable work across Ontario, including post-secondary institutions, seniors’ and affordable housing communities, and institutional facilities, and it’s still growing. Duties include but are not limited to: Full site leadership for transit-sector ICI projects in the $10M range, from mobilization through closeout A role split between office and site, so you’re planning the work as well as running it Direct collaboration with owners, consultants, trades and every other project stakeholder to keep milestones on track Mentoring junior site staff and helping shape how the team runs its jobs going forward About You The successful candidate will have the following: The motivation and drive to take on a demanding portfolio and see it all the way through Demonstrable experience working with a General Contractor or Construction Management firm on ICI projects, including interiors and ground-up new construction A collaborative style and strong communication skills; you know how to keep a room full of stakeholders aligned, not just informed TTC or transit project experience is a strong asset, though not a hard requirement Proven leadership on site, with a real interest in mentoring junior staff as they come up About The Job This is a permanent position, offering a mix of office and site-based work.
