Reporting to the Provost & Vice-President, Academic, the Dean provides strategic, academic, and operational leadership to one of MacEwan University's largest and fastest-growing academic units. The Dean will advance a compelling vision for the School that builds on its reputation for teaching excellence, student success, community engagement, and growing scholarship. As a member of the University's senior leadership team, the Dean will guide the School through a period of significant growth and transformation, strengthening its academic programs, fostering excellence in teaching, experiential learning, and research, and championing a culture that is collaborative, inclusive, and student-centred. A visible and engaged ambassador for the School, the Dean will cultivate meaningful relationships with industry, government, alumni, donors, and community partners to enhance the School's profile and reputation. As a champion for the Triffo School of Business, the Dean will articulate a compelling vision for the School, amplify its distinctive strengths, and strengthen its brand and reputation as a leading business school with deep connections to industry and community. The successful candidate will have a strong record of teaching, scholarship, and service to qualify for an appointment as a full professor; with a demonstrated record of progressive leadership experience within a complex university environment. They will be a strategic and future-focused leader who can advance long-term priorities, identify opportunities for growth and partnership, and guide a dynamic School through growth and change while building trust, alignment, and a strong sense of community. The ideal candidate will lead with integrity, foster meaningful relationships, communicate with authenticity and transparency, and effectively advocate for the interests of the School and University.
