Hiring Unit: Department of Biochemistry Course Title: Written Communication in Biomedical Sciences Course Code: BIOC 301 Estimated Number of Positions: 1 Total Hours of Work per Term: 60 Name of the Course Coordinator: Prof. Maxime Denis Position Summary: IMPORTANT: To be eligible for an appointment as a Teaching Assistant for Winter 2027 term, applicants must be enrolled in a McGill graduate program in Winter 2027 term. Attend all lectures (Class time = Mon 2:35 - 3:55 PM). Grade students' assignments and provide feedback on student’s work. Answer students' questions via email or MyCourses; flexible worktime. Invigilate and mark the Final; answer students’ questions on the grading. Qualifications: Candidates must be enrolled in a graduate program within the Department of Biochemistry, or in another graduate program at McGill University, for the Winter 2027 term. Preferably in MSc2 or PhD1 or higher. Very good communication skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills in English are essential. French is an asset. Instructions to the Candidate: Make sure you apply as an external candidate. Updated CV including any previous TA experience in the Department of Biochemistry or within McGill University.
