Job summary

We are recruiting an experienced Tooling Analyst to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry. NOTE: 6-month contract that could be extended but no guarantee Ability to work all three shifts is required, primarily the off shifts (midnights and afternoons) Ability work overtime including weekends and holidays when required Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date RESPONSIBILITIES: Emphasis on delivery and continuous improvement of safely, quality, and productivity Interface with Suppliers and Product Engineering Purchasing system Run-off equipment per specifications, at supplier and plant to validate capability aid robustness, including safety Meet all objectives through R&M, Process Design, and FMEAs Develop plans for machine tryout parts (MTO) - cost, quantity, location of build, quality, etc. Lead Simo Engineering with supplier and plant / staff Interface with plant personnel with appropriate timing and installation documentation, to ensure efficient / timely installation and validation REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Five years’ experience in Tool Engineering (high speed machining) Strong experience in a machining environment Tooling: Speeds, Feeds, and Depth of Cut, Equipment to Facilitate Tool Management, Continuous Improvement in Cost, Productivity and Quality Ability to be flexible and adapt to a dynamic working environment and diverse team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Individual must be a team player and willing to take a leadership role in project setting Strong Computer skills (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD) COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $35.00 - $40.00 / hour (depending on experience) Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc. MEDA offers an excellent referral bonus.
