Starting wage of $23.00/hour +$0.55/hour premium for overnight shifts Up to 28 hours per week, with opportunities for up to 40 hours during peak periods Paid training and orientation Modern Distribution Centre environment Competitive benefits Opportunities to grow with one of Canada's leading grocery retailers Available Shift Overnight - 12:00am to 8:00am A Day in the Life Select and prepare orders for delivery to Metro stores Operate motorized pallet jack equipment Build pallets for shipment Work independently while contributing to a larger team operation Help ensure customers have access to the products they rely on every day Work Environment Fast-paced warehouse setting Physically active role with continuous movement throughout the shift Multi-temperature environments, including refrigerated areas as low as 0°C Exposure to wet or humid conditions in some departments Frequent lifting, bending, twisting, reaching, and walking What You'll Need To Succeed Warehouse, distribution centre, or general labour experience Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift Comfort working in a physically demanding environment Strong safety mindset and reliable attendance CSA-approved safety footwear Ability to pass a background check Basic English communication and comprehension skills IND2 IND2 Metro values, respects and leverages the differences and competences of all employees from a variety of different backgrounds.
