Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. Our Rapid Transit Operations department is looking to hire a Project Manager to the team! This role will provide end-to-end project management services for a wide range of activities across the Rapid Transit portfolio. The Project Manager provides support to multiple stakeholders and Senior Management, including (but not limited to) schedule management, cost management, stakeholder management, risk management, quality, safety, and document control and works with their team members to ensure delivery activities are set up to achieve the benefits of the project in alignment with the project agreements. What will I be doing? * Manage vast amounts of information to support ongoing departmental operations and performance, business management and operations delivery functions. Provide administrative excellence to support departmental initiatives. * Gather data from various sources and in various forms; strategically manipulate the information to extract value (actionable information) to aid in decision making. Organise and provide appropriate access to data. * Establish a procedural framework for identifying, collecting, distributing, and filing controlled documents for the Rapid Transit Operations department. Perform long-term data management, filtering relevant information to assist in risk analysis, prioritization, and/or asset performance. * Deliver on all aspects of project management consistent with corporate commitments to budget, schedule, quality, and risk. * Support all key project mobilization activities including the master project schedule, risk register, and project control rooms. * Apply process improvement methodologies that will optimize project execution while ensuring compliance with governance and standards. * Work with a multidisciplinary project team comprised of employees, contractors, consultants, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality services while overseeing the day-to-day delivery of all project elements. * Maintain key relationships and coordinate with internal stakeholders including but not limited to RT Business Management, Contract Management, Operations Delivery, Capital Projects Group, and Finance to maximize project success, mitigate risk, and continuously improve outcomes. What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need? * Completion of a degree in Engineering or Business Administration or a related discipline – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent. * Demonstrated experience in project management, preferably within the public sector. * Project management experience to manage multi-disciplinary projects assigned to you that have a high value and complexity. * A proven leader who excels in building relationships, solves problems, and drives results. * Proficiency with project management methodologies, tools, and technology. * Knowledge of passenger transportation industry and prior experience working with transit projects is considered an asset. * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an asset. * Must have a valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s licence as this role will be required to visit various sites.
