As a Development Planner, you will support the evaluation, planning, permitting, and approval of residential, commercial, mixed-use, and seniors housing developments across Ontario. Working closely with senior leadership, municipalities, consultants, and regulatory agencies, you will help advance projects from site analysis through approvals while contributing to process improvement and technology-driven innovation. Client Details Our client is a well-established design-build construction firm with a strong reputation for delivering innovative and high-quality projects. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a talented professional to join their team and contribute to the successful planning and execution of complex construction projects. Description Conduct due diligence, site assessments, and development feasibility reviews for prospective projects. Prepare and coordinate planning applications, approvals, permits, and supporting documentation. Liaise with municipalities, regulatory agencies, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the approval process. Monitor project schedules, approvals, and key milestones while identifying potential risks and solutions. Support project teams through planning, pre-development, and entitlement phases. Maintain project documentation, regulatory records, and approval tracking systems. Utilize planning and technology tools to improve project delivery, reporting, and internal processes. MCIP, RPP Experience in development planning, municipal approvals, permitting, land development, or consulting. Strong understanding of planning policies, zoning regulations, and development approval processes. Experience preparing planning applications, feasibility assessments, and technical reports. Excellent research, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools; GIS experience is an asset. Comfortable leveraging technology, automation, and digital tools to improve efficiency and outcomes. Job Offer Competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 CAD annually. Comprehensive benefits package including RRSP contributions, paid time off (PTO), and bonus incentives. Requirements
A degree in urban planning, geography, land development, or a related field is required, along with MCIP and RPP credentials.
